Here's a little VN project I've been tinkering with for a couple years now, off and on. I started it back in 2022 and originally used RenPy, similar to other VNs, but I felt that didn't give me enough control like I wanted, so I've been using GameMaker with a couple extensions to let me use Yarn, the same dialogue engine that games like Night in the Woods uses.

If you've ever played Babysitting Cream, it's effectively the same kind of deal, with some changes to make it more of its own things: You play as Amy, who has been asked by Vanilla to housesit and watch over Cream while she's gone on a business trip for a month. During this month, Amy ends up somehow basically being Cream's "sex ed teacher", teaching her the many things she never learned due to being rather sheltered by Vanilla, as the two of them keep finding new ways and places to make love. As the days go by, you teach Cream more new things, find more new places to visit, and encounter more new characters to have sexy fun with. Try to complete as much as you can before Vanilla's return.

I've been reworking the game from my initial ambitions back in 2022. It used to be in RenPy, sported pre-rendered 3D characters in my usual style, and had many options regarding who to play as (Amy, Rouge, or Blaze) as well as genital choices for your character and Cream (has dick, no dick). Looking back now, it was too ambitious and kinda sloppy. I've since moved to GameMaker, which I'm much more knowledgable in and have much more control over, and built it on a visual novel engine I pieced together back in 2022-2023 for another game I was thinking about call Short 'n Suite (a VN about being in a Zootopia-style society, where you play as a mid-sized animal living in an apartment complex in the middle of the "shorter species: part of the city).

Changes from the 2022 version are:

  • Amy is the only current playable character.

  • Amy, Cream, and Vanilla are all futa.

  • The artwork is returning to 2D.

  • The writing and artwork is open to collaboration in future.

  • Characters you encounter are now Rouge, Marine, Tails, Blaze, Tikal, and Shadow

There's no releases yet, other than the initial short demo I made for the original 2022 version, which is quite bad in my current opinion:

Tonight's update: Added some buttons for actions that aren't currently possible by clicking on something in the room ("Open closet" and "Wax melter" in this example), as well as made moving from room to room work. Not shown is also finally being able to check, set, and add to variables, as the library I'm using to handle branching dialogue only had options for its own sandboxed variables that won't work for what I needed.
