Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on StellarFur Forums. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. All Users Must Be 18+

    1. StellarFur Forums is an adult forum focused around the sharing of content made for adults. All users must be 18 years of age or older. Note this law pertains to the laws in the United States of America and do not provide exemptions to users in countries with different laws pertaining to age of consent/adult content laws. #
  2. Keep it cozy

    1. We're all here to have a chill and cozy time away from the toxicity, spite, and contempt of other websites/apps, so let's make an effort to keep it that way.
      • Be respectful to each other. Do not harass others or be overtly rude to others.
      • This is not a place for racism, sexism, homophobia, or other bigoted remarks. Go away.
      • Leave drama from other sites, forums, chats, etc. at the door. Any debates and arguments herein must be kept in private messages or the relevant Hell containment board.
This is not Twitter. Do not act like this is Twitter. Please kill the cop in your brain before you enter. If you do not like something, ignore it or add the poster to your "Foes" list and move on. This is your only warning. #
  3. General Posting Guidelines

    1. Stay on topic.
Fairly straightforward, please stay on topic with the thread you're in and keep topics relevant to their proper sections. #
    2. No spams, scams, or excessive promotion
As we are a hub primarily for sharing content made by you or others, we want to allow self-promotion to a reasonable level while keeping spam out entirely. Promotion of your commissions, auctions, merchandise, crowd-funding sites (e.g. Subscribestar, Patreon), as well as promotion of other outside websites is allowed. Repeatedly promoting these through every avenue available is not allowed and considered "excessive".

Here are some examples of things we consider "excessive promotion" or "spam":
      • Going to every board and making posts advertising your paysites/crowd funding sites.
      • Mentioning in the public chatroom every few minutes that your commissions/auctions are open.
      • Mass-sending personal messages (PMs) to users of the site to promote something.
      • Making posts where excessive parts of the body text is URL links to your works/services.
      • Making several irrelevant posts in the improper boards or promotion of questionable/irrelevant products in boards/chat (e.g. posts with links to sites selling/advertising supplements, cryptocurrencies, illegal content, etc.).
Here are some ways you can promote yourself and your works that are not considered excessive or spam:
      • Having non-intrusive* URL links, buttons, or images promoting your work in your forum signature. (e.g. image icons of your other websites, "Check out my website! [link]", an image saying "Commissions open!" that links to a commission form)
      • Adding your other websites to your profile within the User Control Panel.
      • Bumping your own thread that showcases your artwork to announce commissions or paysite-exclusive material.**
*"Non-intrusive" meaning the relevant content fits within our signature requirements below.
**Bumping your own thread repeatedly to stay atop the board will be considered spam. Please try to keep new posts singular and avoid rapid double-posting. You are free to bump your thread every 12 hours if no other posts have been made in the topic, otherwise please edit the more recent post with your new additions.
      #
    3. Make titles descriptive!
Please avoid being vague with your topic names in the case of making posts asking for help.
Topic names can be whatever you like, but if you have a question or a problem that needs help, it's best to state the question in the title to get the help you're asking for. #
  4. Content Guidelines

    1. Artwork made by you
Posting of works in the main Creative Corner forums must be works made by you or features work made by you (such as in the case of a collaborative work). Works made by others that you've gotten through commissions, requests, auctions, gifts, etc. are to be posted in the relevant section of the Sharing Center subforums. Please make sure to post in the proper forums and double-check you are posting in the correct location before proceeding. #
    2. Artwork made by others
Creation of topics in the Sharing Center subforums must be topics for works made by users NOT active on the forums currently. Posting the work of another forum user in a generally-themed topic is fine, but making an entire topic focused around another forum artist is not allowed without their expressed permission.

Topics that are in the Sharing Center forums include (but are not limited to): topics sharing works of a specific artist/artist group, "themed" topics focused around a specific kink, artstyle, aesthetic, character, body position, etc., works you've received as the results of a commission/gift/raffle/auction. Topics do not need to be unique in sharing subforums, however we encourage users to look for a relevant thread before posting a new topic. #
    3. AI-generated content is prohibited.
Posting of AI-generated content is prohibited in the art sharing boards. Discussion of AI in general is allowed, but must be kept in the Tech Talk board or Shitposts board.

Posting of artwork that utilizes AI-generation/style-transfer as a tool for an insignificant part of the artwork (such as a background or special-effect) is allowed, however any work that is prominently made using AI generative tools is prohibited. #
    4. 24 Month Paid Content Do-Not-Post Guidelines
Posting of an artist's paid content that is under 24-months old is prohibited. After this 24-month period, the content is considered available for posting for archival purposes.
We understand some artists may not like this, however, blocking all paid content entirely prevents archiving of an artist's work where possible. We prohibit posting of any paid works under 24-months old to ensure artists are able to make a reasonable amount of income and use the work as a payment incentive from the individual work before most viewers would consider it "old content".

This includes (but is not limited to) content from crowd-funding sites (Patreon, Subscribestar, Fansly, etc.), artwork packs, and art CDs. #
    5. Do not post illegal/pirated/leaked material.
Do not post material that is illegal in the United States of America. This is fairly straightforward, use common sense.

Do not post pirated material or links to pirated material. The High Seas board is strictly for the discussion of piracy and pirated material from corporations. This board is not for discussion on how to get around artist paywalls or for leaking paid content from artists before the 24-month do-not-post status is lifted for that work.
It is always morally correct to pirate from large, uncaring corporations who continue making things worse for their paying customers. It is never okay to pirate from your fellow artists; they are individuals, not soulless companies. #
    6. IRL Nudity
Nudity of yourself or of others is only permitted in the Photo/Video sections of Creative Corner and Sharing Center, respectively. These sections are hidden to guests/bots to prevent images/videos posted from being scraped or easily accessed by potentially malicious people. Sharing of non-consensual/illegal content is strictly forbidden. If you are found to be sharing content of this nature, your account will be banned immediately and your information will be forwarded to the relevant authorities.

    7. Questionable material
Due to a current lack of tagging features that make it hard to uses to curate their experiences how they see fit, NSFW content that falls under these categories must be placed inside of SPOILER tags with a content warning:

      • Cub

      • Feral

      • Non-con

      • Guro/gore/blood

      • Scat

      • Fart

      • Diaper

SFW content featuring cub and/or feral does not require a spoiler tag as long as genitals are not visible.

Content featuring human loli/shota characters with visible genitals must be hosted elsewhere. You are allowed to create a censored/cropped thumbnail of the content in question and link to the full media provided the media is off-site. This is due to potential interference from our hosting, which we want to keep to a minimum.

    9. Aggie.io Rules
We have a public Aggie.io canvas that anyone can come and doodle on, accessible via the link in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Drawings on the canvas must follow site-wide content guidelines and must not be of the following:

      • Guro/gore/heavy amounts of blood (so long as it's not a main focus of the drawing, some blood is acceptable)
      • Scat
      • Fart
      • Non-con

Random indiscriminate scribbles, drawings that intend to cover someone else's work, and spam will be removed without warning. Repeated offenses may result in a ban from the canvas.
We will increase the size of the canvas when deemed necessary to do so.
