How would that be done?
Using cards would be good to show off the art, or if its similar to isaac, having different dildos, and whips as weapons, gags for "upgrades", outfits with different effects and combining outfits, gags, and "weapons" to make like, transformations!
Imagine you collect a carrot shaped gag and a bunny outfit and BOOM Bunny transformation!

As long as it doesn't have "sex happens when you take damage/lose", it would have potential lol

Well it can, fun little animations that happen if you lose, but better stuff if you win of course. A gallery of sorts would help.
Im trying to think of ways to make battles work, what if like, the goal is to make the monsters cum, and you do it via card battles lol

are you imagining like a cobalt core kind of deckbuilder or a balatro kind of deckbuilder? they're kind of similar but very different conceptually.

Okay, but first of all, what KIND of roguelite are we talking about here? Because roguelite has expanded so much, it could basically be integrated in any kind of game genre.

Just start on something really, if you want a place. Make a room, a rudimentary character and enemy, bullets, attacks, health etc.
If you want recommendations, I would note that I think having a reward system where you 'beat like 100 enemies' for this sex scene would be a nice easy way to add a reason for playing the game and not trying to lose to enemies.
Then you can really branch from anywhere at that point
