So originally I was gonna just open up a thread for the topic, but then after thinking about it some more (and realizing I'm not sure WHERE to put it), I wanted to check with the rest of the community for how everyone, and Furf, feels about just a thread versus a subforum category for it. Mainly because that space was my first online internet experiences along with e621, and I know how sprawling those threads can get if there's enough userbase and popular interest.

I'm thinking back to 2012, 2013, 2014 with the Bad Dragon Forums, the earliest sense of community I ever found (while it lasted). Would we have enough interest and use for a section dedicated to talking about adult toys, brands, sharing tips on who to buy from (or avoid buying from, within reasonable rules on drama vs callouts etc), how to care for and repair toys. All existing forum and additional reasonable rules would apply for any posts, all topics pertaining to IRL objects and persons staying about adult persons, no photos of genitals/people (just the toys where relevant, given the OTHER content on this forum) and such. Or would it be better to keep that to a "share your toys!" thread for now and see if demand expands enough for a subforum later?

I feel this could be a nice topic for Queer Qorner. That forum was originally called Kink Korner beforehand, and I have mixed feelings on the naming I picked currently. I'll rename Queer Qorner into something like Queer Café and add a little subforum called Kink Korner just to keep organization of sexual topics vs. non-sexual ones.

As for photos/videos, if it's just of the toys themselves (or, if needed, videos of others using them) would be fine to post there. Photos or videos of yourself using them using them should go in the much unloved Camera Studio forum, as they are photos/videos taken by you. I can definitely see it being something people would be keen on, given how many of us likely have and regularly use toys.

Y'know, I DIDN'T see those on a cursory skimming of the categories to post in, and I don't know how. My apologies and thank you! Also noted, per my understanding on Inkbunny-Style Rules I figured selfies or at least NSFW self-photos would be prohibited, but I'll do some thinking on that. Cheers!

Initially it wasn't allowed in the rules, but I wanted to make sure all bases are covered. I know there's some fursuiters/murrsuiters out there who could use another place to share their stuff, since IIRC some places have previously given those people shit for things like Bad Dragon toys, equating "someone in a suit fucking someone not in one" to bestiality, etc. All stuff off the top of my head from a while back that should probably be taken with a grain of salt, I just know some people would appreciate having a new space for their stuff to go.

I"m going to look into making things like the photos/videos section into a registered-user-only section, since it might be for the best if something like Google doesn't scrape someone's nudes.

Hard agree on keeping up the privacy for sections like that. And yeah, I mean if you're confident you can navigate having that on here with the rest of it, I trust you. I understand how users like those probably feel being given the hard "U R degen" treatment just over not perfectly fitting in other people's kink boxes. Much appreciated Furfmallow.
