Lessa of Grimwood

[Causticutie]

I wanted to share my ongoing project "Lessa of Grimwood" It is an ongoing short illustrated story. A dark fantasy story where some terrible things happen to our titular protag. Namely rape and death.

I've been working on this off and on for a bit so there is considerable improvement in the art as it goes but generally it looks pretty rough.

PART 1

Lessa of Grimwood lived in the Grimwood with her mother Greta.

Greta was a powerful witch who had moved to the quiet woods to raise her daughter, and take her on as an apprentice.

They lived a quiet life alone in the woods occasionally visited by the local residents of Woodsheart Village, seeking Greta's magic for aid in their daily troubles.

Lessa's quiet life took a turn one day as her mother would not rise from her sleep.

Worried, Lessa traveled to Woodsheart to serk the advice of Starnose, the local mystic.

Starnose told Lessa that her mother had been placed under the spell of a powerful Sorcerer known as Bellinor.

Bellinor and his goons will attack Woodsheart village by the full moon, to spread chaos and kill Greta.

Lessa looked to the moon in the sky. She only had 24 days before the full moon! How could she raise her mother from her sleep in time?

Starnose told her to seek the Magic Seed, guarded by the great Wolf-Hound.

She told Lessa it will be a perilous journey, and she will need to get help along her way.

Starnose put a spell on Lessa's heart so that if it were to stop she will revive in Starnose's hut in Woodsheart.

Then Starnose gave Lessa her magic rod, the Brass Tack, to defend herself in the Wilderness on her quest.

Lessa still felt uneasy, but proceeded to Woodsheart to begin her quest, leaving her mother in the care of Starnose.

PART 2

Lessa of Grimwood ventured from her home to the village of Woodsheart.

She went back to the Mystic Starnose's hut at the edge of town, hoping she would not need to see it should she perish.

Lessa decided that a journey to the Great Wolf-Hound would be long and she should find supplies.

She went to the villagers and asked them for help, but the villagers had little to spare.

A shepherd at the edge of town offered her a deal: clear out a few of the Giant Spiders in the cave on the horizon, and he would give her travel supplies.

While Lessa did not want any delays to helping her mother, she knew she had little choice, and set off to the cave.

PART 3

Lessa set out to the Cave on the Horizon to handle the Giant Spiders.

Unfortunately she did not make it far out of town before she was accosted...

A gang of hooded men gathered around her, threatening her with sharp blades and sharper words.

Lessa grew scared as the men drew in closer, she dropped her magic rod in the harassment.

It was not long before the mens' jeers turned lewd, calling her 'hoary and whore-y'.

If she werent so scared of the men she thought she would have become indignant at such a notion!

Lessa was a young virgin girl with little thought towards such acts, save for the occasional storybook prince.

She had littke intention of copulating with anyone until her marriage with her Prince Charming to-be sometime in the distant future.

Life often does not go as planned though, Lessa thought as a Fox approached her, removing his trousers to the cheers of the others.

He drew his knife and demanded that Lessa disrobe...

PART 4

Lessa backed away from the men but only found herself facing another.

They snatched her cap off her head and tossed it aside.

Another man began to tear at the robe her Mother had made her.

Exposed in the wild, surrounded by these violent rakes Lessa began to cry, and beg and plead.

Her cries fell on deaf ears as she was forced to the ground.

She had no idea how long the men used her, everything became a blur of misery to her.

Late into the rape an argument unfolded, concerning the length of one of the men's turn.

Lessa lied on the ground for a moment unabused as the argument unfolded.

She heard a brief scuffle and then one of the men pulled her head as far back as it could go and slit her throat.

As death called to her, and her vision faded, she could hear "Eh fuck it, she's still warm"

PART 5

Moments after her throat was slit, Lessa awoke anew in Starnose's hut.

Lessa sat there on the cold floor a long while before curling into a ball and falling asleep.

She awoke and lay there for some time, kicking herself for how poorly her quest had started off.

But she examined herself and found herself no worse for wear: Starnose's spell was something of wonder indeed!

However the troubling thing was that the Evil Bellinor must be immeasurably powerful if Starnose couldnt dispel it...

A glimmer of hope grew in Lessa's heart that moment, realizing that her mother was a large enough danger to Bellinor to warrant her sleeping hex.

With renewed body and spirit, Lessa resummoned the Brass Tack and set out the door for the second day of her adventure!

So this is the first day of Lessa's adventure! A part of me wants to rewrite and redraw all of these but i think its also a decent mark to myself that i am improving. If i had to retcon anything it would be to make the timeline shorter. I assumed I would be more efficient in drawing these updates than i actually came to be. Also Lessa is depicted as a little too goody-goody relative to herself later on

I'm a huge mouse and rodent fan so I'm frequently on the lookout for stories and stuff featuring them (while I try to claw out of my lack-of-motivation hole and write my own stuff lol). I feel for Lessa and I hope she's able to help her mom, even if that means she's got some more crap to deal with before that happens. :p

PART 6

Lessa set out once again from Starnose's hut, through Woodsheart Village, and into the Grimwood as dawn was cresting.

She steered away from footpaths likely to be used by villagers and merchants, taking care not to encounter the those brigands again.

Her mother needed her. Woodsheart Village needed her. Her quest would fail if she was not properly prepared.

All she has to do is go in the cave, squash some bugs and then she can go back to the shepherd head held high and begin her quest in earnest.

Simple, she surmised, readying the Brass Tack as she ventured into the cave...

PART 7

Venturing into the mouth of the cave Lessa could hear the chittering, the scurrying scratches of the giant spiders.

With resolve she pressed deeper, small ones scurried towards her at first and so she brushed them aside with her tail or smashed them

Larger ones came and looking into their eyes brought a pang of terror to her heart.

In panic she shut her eyes and cast an arcane blast from the Brass Tack. She was amazed at the power of it, and dazed by the light.

Magic ash from the spiders filled her nose, her eyes blinded by the light, and chittering critters all around her senses were overwhelmed.

A sensation cut through the noise though: a bite of spider fangs sinking into the flesh of her calf...

PART 8

Originally this set had 6 pictures, I consider this a little excessive now.

Lessa could no longer move her foot! And soon the spiders swarmed her as the toxin continued to sieze her ability to move.

The spiders spin their webs around her limbs and hauled her paralyzed body into the air.

Lessa could only watch in fixed terror as the monsters crawled around her suspended and bound body.

She could still feel them as they did. She felt the air change, the presence of some much larger spider as it ascended to meet her: the giant spider queen.

Lessa looked down and watched as an enormous green ovipositor fumbled blindly, pressing against her, feeling wet, slimy, and sickly cool.

She wished she could attempt to squirm away as it slid into her and pressed against her womb.

Then she felt one after another of its wretched eggs shoved, packed inside of her.

Her body held out as long as it could, when she felt herself at her bodies limit the spider queen pressed one more into her.

Her belly split, and Lessa's heart gave out in shock... a mercy

PART 9

Lessa came to once again on the rune on the floor of Starnose's hut.

She flailed around for a time, reasserting her command over her muscles that was robbed from her in her last life.

This world was so cruel, so sadistic.

In the morning she will rise to her challenge again, tonight she will cry.

Day two of Lessa's journey. Yes the story is fairly repetitive. It is just bad things happening to her usually

PART 10

In the morning, Lessa had cleaned her smeared kohl from her face, flattened her smock and ventured to the old shepherd's house.

She was ashamed but she had to admit that she failed to kill the giant spiders.

She was more ashamed to admit that she had returned here to beg for the supplies that was supposed to be the reward the task...

She told the shepherd that she would do anything, anything else at least, to get the supplies

The standard tilted "anything?" Was of course the response in kind

Lessa followed the shepherd inside where the smell of a recently cooked breakfast hung thick in the air.

She followed him to the edge of a cot where he bagan to remove his tunic and trousers.

He was older, grey fur peppered inbetween the varying shades of his coat, but fit in his age and well endowed.

Lessa felt complicated as she observed him, reminding herself that this is a trade of sorts: a task to be done.

Still she stood there meekly, almost wishing that he would take cgarge of the situation...

She slid off her smock and approached the old shepherd's growing cock, lowering herself to her knees.

"Would you like to kiss?" Lessa shook her head silently "Thats alright." Said the shepherd, not wanting to press the issue.

She didnt really know what to do at first, this was her first encounter with a man that could be said to be consensual. But she soon found a rhythm that seemed to suit him.

After some time, he wordlessly ejaculated in her mouth. When Lessa released for air, she unwittingly swallowed it.

Things were awkward for some time and then the shepherd offered her breakfast as he readied a pack for her.

PART 12

Having finished her meal, and her pack all prepared Lessa was ready to start her adventure in earnest!

The old shepherd saw her out, he said to her:

"Im sorry for asking you to do that, those spiders are very dangerous. It was too much to ask of you."

"Its alright," Lessa replied "Im sure theyre very troublesome for your flock."

"Yes, indeed. I only asked because I thought you were that witch, Greta's girl. Figured you could use the magics to collapse the cave or some such."

Lessa felt a little foolish for not just doing that, she made a mental note to try and be more clever in the future with such tasks.

"Oh! And be careful on the roads" the shepherd continued. "Heard there's brigands afoot."

"Oh! Yes there are i was accosted by some a couple days ago!" Lessa replied

"How did you get out of that?" The shepherd asked

"Well, i didnt i died..." Lessa replied honestly. The shepherd laughed as though this was a joke.

Lessa felt a little irked by the laugh and just shuffled off to the grim woods again.

PART 13

Lessa ventured further into the Grim Woods, loaded up with a pack full of salted foods, clean water, a length of rope, a knife, a small hatchet, and various other adventuring accoutrement she thought she may need.

It brought her comfort and confidence and perhaps thats what she truly needed for this journey.

It was the middle of the third day of her quest to seek out the wise wolfhound to rouse her mother from her magical induced slumber.

Lessa felt guilty that she had made so little progress, she comforted herself by remembering she was pretty poorly equipped to deal with the outside world, given her sheltered existence.

In an odd way she could almost see this as a positive thing. The spell acting as training wheels of a sort. Keeping her going when normally it all would have ended.

PART 14

While walking through the woods, pondering all of this, a tree fell and crushed Lessa to death.

Because the universe is chaos.

PART 15

"Fuck. Fucking stupid" She continued to mutter to herself.

"Horseshit." She said rising to her feet

"ßßßß" She seethed exiting Starnose's hut to return to the fallen tree and retrieve her belongings.

PART 16

After leaving Starnose's hut, again, Lessa had spent the rest of her day retracing her steps through the woods.

The day grew short in its light as she approached a murder of crows and a fallen tree.

Shooing away the crows, Lessa was faced with the surreal site of her own cadaver!

"Oh whoa" thought Lessa.

She pulled out the pack from under the weight of the log and then stood there for a time looking at her mutilated corpse.

Lessa didnt know how to process these feelings, it was all pretty overwhelming!

Eventually the natural instinct took over and she began to prod at the body with a stick.

PART 17

After getting her fill of prodding, Lessa realized she needed to prepare for the night

She prepared a steeple of dry branches with dead grass and twigs underneath.

Then she set to striking flint with steel from the supplies bag.

After trying that for 5 minutes she lit the fire with magic like she usually did.

Lessa watched the flames dance for a time before drifting to sleep.

Day three whoo!

PART 18

Lessa awoke in the morning and listened for a time to the sounds of the Grim Woods do the same.

Wind rustled leaves, branches swayed and creaked, wolves howled in the distance, a vague scream, crows fed at her own carrion some meters away, and a Wildling was rustling through her backpack.

A Wildling was rustling through her backpack?

"Oh dear," thought Lessa "i should dissuade him from looting my pack before he finds something he would not want to part with!"

"What is a wildling doing so close to civilization anyways?" Lessa continued to ponder as she rubbed the sand from her eyes and rose to her feet.

PART 19

Lessa approached the figure who continued rifling through the bag, aware of her presence but not worried about her.

"Eh.. excuse me?" Lessa began after a moment of hesitation.

The wildling cocked an ear her direction and she continued "can i help you with something?"she said in as sarcastic a tone as she could muster.

Annoyed by the squeeking voice of the mouse the wildling bear rose to his full height in the hopes of intimidating Lessa away.

Lessa was indeed intimidated and probably would have shuffled away under normal circumstances. Then again under normal circumstances she would not be here.

"I help myself fine." He spoke. Lessa brightened for a moment realizing they shared a tongue, before souring again with indignance.

"Youre helping yourself to my stuff! I need that for my quest! I need to seek the Great wolfhound and get the Magic Seed and i only have like 20 days because my mothers asleep and... its a uh magic sleep. Bellinor... go goons? Oh hell"

Lessa trailed off in her exposition as her attention shifted to the Wildling's growing member carelessly pushing aside his loincloth and pointing with a throb towards her.

"You smell fertile." The wildling said to her.

"Thats nice, i didnt know you could tell that by smell. Learn something new everyday huh? Well uh keep the bag ill be on my way"

Lessa backed away slowly a few paces and then turning around she heard him grunt behind her.

Her instincts kicked in, at last, and she broke into a sprint

Lessa ran through the forest as fast as she could, watching forward for obstacles to her path.

She dared not turn around to see if her pursuer was gaining on her.

She wasn't sure what to do! She heard that maybe she should play dead but that didnt seem very helpful in this case!

She debated with herself if she could climb a tree when she was tackled to the ground...

PART 21

Bowled over on the ground with her wind knocked out of her, there was virtually nothing that Lessa could do to stop the Wildling at this point.

Lessa saw the enormous erection measured against her small frame and hoped for a moment that he would consider such a proposition impossible.

Her hopes were found to be completely unfounded as the wildling shoved his way inside of her.

About a quarter of his cock was all her body could withstand but stopped short of impaling his way to the inside of her ribcage as she was beginning to fear.

Eventually he stared back and there was a strange chill in the air.

The bear cocked his head and chortled at her ridiculous request. "You are a lunatic, and i have no patience left for this."

The wildling grabbed the bag and began to wander off.

PART 23

After some time Lessa picked herself up from the ground, slowly with great pain and effort.

She followed the Wildling's path, taking care not to actually be spotted by him again.

Lessa walked along the assumed path on wobbling legs until she found the discarded bag.

The bag was torn, the food was gone as was a change of clothes. These were the first things noticed missing as Lessa was needing these things foremost.

Reclaiming the bag was really more of the principle of the matter to her after going through so much effort to get it only to beg in the end.

She looked at the rest of the supplies scattered about: a few candles which had debateable use to Lessa who could create similar light fairly regularly, and a stretch of rope which Lessa decided to leave in case that was decided to be used against her by her next brush-up with the denizens of the Grimwood.

She continued to walk with the torn bag for hours. Her mouth was dry, her belly empty, her body aching.

"I dont think im very good at this adventuring" she thought to herself.

PART 24

Lessa continued her path through the woods slowly and uneasily. About midday she napped between two roots of a great tree, out of sight from most angles.

She was unsure of how much time had past when she had awoken but the sun now hit her in the face and discomfort and guilt had spurred her once more to her adventure.

As the sun sank and evening hues strangled the sky Lessa thought of striking up camp again. However she had noticed a clearing on the horizon with a large stone dwelling at its center.

Figuring that she was due for a turn of luck she approached this building, and knocked at its great heavy doors.

After a moment she had heard whispers from behind the doors. "There is a girl outside, she seems distressed sister" she made out a feminine voice say.

'What a stroke of luck!' Thought Lessa, 'There must be a large family within, surely they will hear my plight'

PART 25

The doors to the building were opened and inside she was greeted by the wary gaze of several women in strange dark robes.

The eldest amongst them dispersed the curious crowd from the cramped entrance. Lessa noted a strange odor within, perhaps an incense of some sort.

Before she could ask of it, the eldest beckoned a tall woman by name of Eilers. Eilers was commanded to tend to Lessa and provide her a place to rest.

When alone together Eilers asked Lessa "What happened to you?" Lessa apologized "Im sorry, I thought that would be obvious, a man took advantage of me in the woods."

"Took advantage of you?" Eilers asked, attempting to tease out detail. "Raped me, a large wildling man tackled me to the ground and raped me... and took my stuff"

Eilers let out a short hum of satisfaction before apologizing "Forgive me my inquiry, in here you will come to miss such things as the passion of men"

"I think I would prefer if his passion had missed me! Or at least had been spilt on the ground instead afterwards."

Eilers purred softly at the thought

PART 26

Eilers brought Lessa into the washroom. Another terribly spartan room in this place. Eilers wandered to a couple corners and lit a couple of tallow candles. Lessa thought the smoke stunk terribly and that they should really consider using magic. Its much more convenient.

Eilers sat a tub in the center of the floor and went over to a narrow well in the corner and began drawing water. Indoor plumbing, very convenient! When the tub was fulled Eilers came uncomfortably close and started pulling at Lessa's torn clothes.

"Um... shouldn't we heat the water?" Lessa asked, stepping back and removing her smock before Eilers approached again.

"No no no, the cold water has medicinal benefit. It cleanses the body and the mind" to Lessa's surprise Eilers began removing her robes as well.

"Are you to bathe after me?" Lessa asked. "I am to bathe you." the reply. "I can do this myself thank you for the... concern?"

Eilers gently but sternly walked Lessa to the tub. The warmth of her body discomforted Lessa. "We must be thorough, we dont want a lousy-mousey here do we?"

Lessa sat in the tub, siezing at the cold. Eilers stepped away for some soap and Lessa tried to relax. After a moment it became easier and the cold did help her pain. Or she was becoming numb, she couldn't tell.

Eilers worked a lather up and the soap smelled as well. Lessa hated Eilers' bony fingers working through her fur. Lessa sat still to tolerate this, focusing on not shivering so badly. Until Eilers began to purr again and reached below the water.

Lessa squeezed her legs tight together. "I have to be thorough" Lessa parted her legs and Eilers reached down slipping her fingers into Lessa's pussy.

"Oh, wow, you were really roughed up, huh? He must have been huge right?" Lessa did not answer, trying to imagine herself far away. "I came here because I was raped too! Do you want to hear about mine?" Lessa still refused to say anything, hanging her head.

PART 27

When Lessa was done bathing Eilers left her with a towel to dry herself as she threw out the bath water. Lessa stood there covered in the towel and shivering waiting for her to come back.

'Such a strange place with strange folk in here' she thought. 'A group of women in strange robes, living in seclusion away from broader society?'

Lessa pondered her observations for a moment. 'Aha! They are a coven! It is curious my mother never brought them up before. Perhaps they have some rivalry...'

Eilers returned and brought Lessa a slip to slip on for sleep. "Thank you! It is a fine garment!" Lied Lessa pretending it did not itch. "Do you have my smock so i might mend it tonight?"

"Oh no no, I threw that trash in the pit." Eilers said. Lessa stood surprised. "I can't just go out in a slip!" She protested.

"We will get you in a habit in the morn, doll" Eilers said. "Oh... I was always told not to get into those..." Lessa replied.

Eilers chuckled softly and led Lessa to a room, mostly empty save a thin bed on the floor. "Get some sleep now, we'll talk more tomorrow"

Eilers gave a long glance at Lessa and winked before exiting the room with the light.

Sleep did not come easy to her that night, she felt just as dirty as before the bath.

That night she had strange dreams, but they are of little consequence and we will not go into detail about it.
