I mostly go for music I can't buy directly from the musician, because I hate record companies.
I recently got a hold of Outkast Stankonia.
Although I will also collect some TV shows. The last one I gathered was Clerks Animated, because trying to keep DvD compatible drives (that don't suck) in modern PCs is a nightmare with a strapped budget.

honestly i got one letter in the mail a few years back and it made me too anxious to ever try dipping my paws into a torrent ever since :(
(The game was nier automata, and ive bought it proper at this point anyway so oops!)
Seconding Mullvad. I will say that the letters, if you get enough of them, can lead to consequences but in the US it is mostly just that ISP will shut off your internet after a certain amount. Unless you're distributing files yourself you basically can't get in legal trouble barring extreme circumstances. Cox for some reason if you have any notices at all will..... shut off the ability to remotely turn off your router via their app, but you can still turn it off manually for troubleshooting, so it's a really weird consequence.
Honestly a lot of pirates I know consider getting your first letter to be a milestone. Mine was for Avatar: The Last Airbender lol.

My first and only email from Spectrum was right after I had pirated the movie Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children. It was very weird and I immediately used a Youtuber promo code to get 3 years of NordVPN for like $100. After that expired, I moved on the Mullvad at the recommendation of this handy neocities site that has a basic beginner's guide on good piracy practices.

On the topic of the actual topic, by the by, I just managed to FINALLY set up the Silent Hill quadrillogy without emulators (mostly, SH1 needed it) in proper formats. They're surprisingly annoying to set up on PC with the exception of the ever popular Silent Hill 2 and, uh, checks notes Silent Hill 4, because that one's just on GOG and none of the others for some reason.
It's so funny cause as a person with previously no access to the games whatsoever outside of the HORRIBLE "Enhanced Edition" port my main interaction with Silent Hill has been countless deep dives into fan content and the fan wiki so I'm just running around SH3 currently going "oh my god it's him!!! the insane cancer!!! from silenthill.fandom.com!!!! hiiiiii" for the most part it's great.
https://www.reddit.com/r/silenthill/com ... st_way_to/ was the guide I used, pretty intuitive I just hadn't really gotten around to it.

I've taken to the seas more often lately because I love streaming games to my friends, but I don't want the hassle of buying and configuring the needed adapters for a PS2, let alone forking out 2-3x the original price for a possibly working copy of something like Wild Arms: Alter Code F.

I recently found "a guy" who "still has" a huge amount of really old "official" warhammer miniatures
Gonna scoop those up soon.

I don't mean to butcher discussion in this thread by any means but this was meant to be for stuff you recently pirated
i'll make a new thread for cool stuff you bought, like show and tell

Not exactly recent, but I did yoink the entire Ghibli movie collection and keep it on my external hard-drive. I also get a hold of all of my music with out paying, not out of any principal stance or anything but because the VAST majority of the music I like isn't available for purchase like Friday Night Funkin' music

about half a terabyte of music! lots of rare stuff, some stuff i had to dig for and message a couple folks, but it was worth it. was building back up my collection after swearing off music as a "no go" zone once again...
