Just like how the subject says, there is push for this fucking law to make AI check ALL encrypted messages in case someone is sharing csem/csam, not caring about the consequences of others.
fightchatcontrol.eu is a helpful site to get more info and how to fight it, I'm unsure if there are other furs residing in here but the more people know

Re: EU wants to push privacy-violating law for encrypted chats
The best angle to take on this is the reality of AI client-side scanning being a leaky piece of tech and causing issues regarding things like banking and personal data regarding medical information. All the crap screaming "protect the children" is just a smokescreen for attempts to expand authoritarian surveillance and attempts to remove pornography made by and for consenting adults.
Re: EU wants to push privacy-violating law for encrypted chats
It's the unfortunate truth that a lot of the status quo of private communications/UGC being assumed permissible and only moderated post-hoc is a result of the impracticality of universal monitoring of communications up to this point. AI has changed that, and suddenly every institution with a modicum of power is grabbing for the controls.
